Religion Education

The work in Religion Education that has been the best for me this year was learning about Advent and how Advent has four Sundays that each have a meaning. The first Sunday is Hope, second Sunday is Peace, third Sunday is Joy and the last Sunday is Love. I also learnt about Pope Pius X and  his life from his childhood to when he became a Pope.

My Maths

My best math work that I did this year with Mrs Tui was Basic Facts, fractions and Number Knowledge. Basic Facts helped me to keep remembering my Division, Subtraction, Addition, Fractions and Multiplication. The online program called Prototec helped me to learn my basic facts and I used a sheet to practice my maths using stage 6.

Kiwi Sport - Touch

Today on the field we had Kiwi Sport Touch, our Kiwi Sport teacher is Kaitlyn. We learnt amazing drills. I've been good on defending our opposition, passing the ball, Placing the ball on the floor properly.
I really enjoyed our day playing and having fun.

Today at our Touch Kiwi Sport we got into 2 teams, I was in the yellow bibs team, no.4. Our Sport teacher Kaitlyn taught us how to Draw and pass and learned many more. We played a game called Breakout. There has to be two attackers and one defender. They had to defend their try line.  

We enjoyed our day with our sport teacher Kaitlyn.

Sacrament

For Religion Education I learn to place these Sacrament into three groups. The groups are Initiation, Healing, Commitment.

I am a small fish. I am a benthic species in the temperate marine, I live around  New Zealand and Australia. I like going down into the water and go swimming in salty water. In Australia & New Zealand McDonald's I am cooked, and they call me Filet-o-fish. My Species name is Macruronus novaezelandiae.
I am a Blue Grenadier.

How Maui Brought Fire To The World

For Maori, we have been reading a story called "How Maui Brought Fire To The World". We have experience a lot of news words and some Maori words from this great story. I hope that next time we would learn more information about other stories.

Lectio Divina is a type of a traditional prayer.

This week I've been working on my Religion Education about the gift that god haves in me. 

Swimming Writing!

Today was exciting knowing that my class was going to have our first swimming lesson. We rushed to get changed inside the tent. When we finished getting changed inside the tent, we lined up eager to get into the pool. We are very lucky to have two cool instructors, Joseph and Emma.

When we walked into the tent Joseph and Emma told the boys to take off their T-Shirt. Each person was tested on their ability to swim, so the whole class was split into two groups. For each group got half of the pool each.  We waited patiently for the others because our instructor’s were testing the other students.

When the others finished it was my turn to be tested. As I walked into the pool, I could feel shivers go down my spine. I had to listen very  carefully to  Emma, to do the swimming test right. When the test had finished, I climbed out of the pool shivering to death. I was put into Group 2 with Misiotei. I am very proud of myself.

I enjoyed our swimming lesson, I learnt a lot of skills used in swimming. I already feel like a swimming champion. I can not wait for our next swimming lesson!!

Silhouette Soldier

On Term 2 we did a fantastic, neat art work.
I painted a sunset background so I can remember those who have died in world wars.   I painted the background by mixing up colors to make it look nice and cool like the sunset.
After our painting I draw a black silhouette of a soldier and cut out the outline line.  As the ode of remembrance says, "At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them."

We are reporting a fantastic and shocking news at a place called River Jordan. The crowds are packed and John the baptist was baptizing Jesus. Then out of no where, something strange happened. When Jesus was getting out of the water the clouds opened and a dove flew down. Suddenly a deep voice came from the clouds. Everyone was shocked in amazement. According to one of the audience, the shocking event that just happened was one of the scariest thing that happened in River Jordan.
